Note: We are seeking candidates living in the New Jersey area and not relocating. This role includes with employee benefits, vacation, base and earned incentive compensation. Low base $60K maximum base $80K with amazing potential in a great firm.
Experience and Role Specification Highlights
1. Experience in Leading and Mentoring a small, growing group of mainly inside sales people with some outside sales activity. Someone who has taken a company from a couple of sales people to six or seven with demonstrable energy and drive is needed.
2. Demonstrable experience in actually using CRM in small business to track sales progress, report, analyze and improve sales. Salesforce.com CRM expertise would be a very strong plus.
3. Accomplishments in developing Standard Operating Procedures related to the activity of sales people to help assure optimal results of the sales staff.
4. A strong personal interest in Green processes and technology. This position reports to an owner who enjoys the successful business they are in for the quality of work done. This same feeling is found in the employees. If you don't care about being environmentally responsible, if it is not interesting to you, please do not apply.
5. A participative style of work. A workplace where the people who report to you and the person you report to and others work with little concern for titles and positions. Work in an environment where cooperation is as important as individual accountability and responsibility
6. Experience in providing input and working cooperatively with the Marketing organization as the Sales Manager that can be demonstrated with value would be a strong plus. The company listens to the sales people and knows that sales and marketing working in lock-step in the same direction is important.
7. The ability to evaluate and think about sales both tactically and strategically from running sales meetings to leading and coaching in the development of account and sales strategy.
8. Strong Communications skills. Excellent coaching skills and the ability to establish effective goals and measurement of not only numbers but selling process and tact effectiveness while creating an environment where people want to perform for you willfully.
9. First year incremental sales revenue of at least $1MM total from the sales team you lead, coach, mentor and motivate. Expected, while developing and building upon a successful existing but small sales team.
10. Proven entrepreneurial accomplishment taking business from a few million dollars to $25MM range in small private firms while developing a sales team is optimal experience for this role. We are respectfully, not seeking corporate, large business background in sales team leadership and development for this particular client.
